Peking University hosted a one-day forum on "New Horizons in China's Higher Education Sector: Global Strategies and Research Innovations" as well as APRU's 3rd Senior Staff Meeting from March 8 to 10, 2006.
Madam Wu Qidi, Vice Minister for Education, People's Republic of China gave a keynote speech on "China's Research Universities" at the forum on March 9. In addition to APRU members, 33 participants from 24 top Chinese universities also participated in the forum.
APRU initiatives and directions were discussed at the Senior Staff Meeting held on following day. The meeting drew a total of 46 participants from 24 APRU member universities.
