Following the success of the inaugural meeting of APRU business deans hosted by the University of Southern California in May 2008, a 2^nd APRU Business Deans Meeting was hosted by the Zhejiang University School of Management from May 22 - 24, 2009. At the meeting, the APRU Business and Entrepreneurship Network was launched, and a proposal for a PhD Student Summer Institute was discussed.

The Organizing Committee for this meeting was co-chaired by Dean James Ellis of University of Southern California and Executive Dean Zhongming Wang of ZJU.
